Coffee profile

EARTH'S AWAKENING

Kahawa ya Congo means "coffee from Congo" in Swahili. A symbol of hope for an entire community, this 100% arabica coffee is grown mainly in the eastern highlands. Indeed, the nutrient-rich volcanic soils on the shores of Lake Kivu are ideal for the production of this first certified organic coffee in the Reviving Origins range. It's this natural richness, combined with the meticulous care taken by the coffee growers and the implementation of sustainable agricultural practices that allows you to enjoy it today.

Years of ongoing conflict and political instability have left many plantations abandoned, and small-scale producers are exploiting only a small fraction of Congo's specialty coffee potential. Through the Reviving Origins program, we are working with coffee farmers to revive forgotten coffee regions. Kahawa ya Congo is still a rare treasure, but each year we'll bring you more of this smooth coffee, which seduces with its lightly fruity notes, and roasted grain and nut flavours.
