Melozio Decaffeinato delights twice. Its Latin American arabicas still sing with smooth cereal and honeyed sweetness even after decaffeination.

Bitterness

Has a taste similar to cocoa or dark chocolate.
Can be perceived in the mouth at the back of the tongue.

Acidity

Offers a dry sensation in the mouth, evoking lemon.
Usually perceived on the sides of the tongue.

Body

Matches the weight and texture of a coffee as perceived in the mouth.
A full-bodied coffee has strength and gives an impression of fullness in the mouth.

Roasting

Corresponds to the coffee beans roasting intensity.
Generally between 170 and 230 degrees for a duration of 7 up to 15 minutes.

Origins

We chose Brazilian coffee of the bourbon variety because it’s loved for its sweetness and distinct cereal note. Our split-roast keeps that character intact and lets the lightly roasted Central American arabicas round out this decaffeinated blend into a sweet and smooth coffee.

Our programs help regenerate the environment where coffee grows. We source over 40% of our coffee from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms.

Roasting

We split-roast this blend of Vertuo arabica coffees; it allows the Brazilian bourbon to develop its cereal note into a sweet and smooth coffee. Lightly roasting the other arabicas rounds out Melozio.

Recipes

The addition of milk develops the coffee's softer, sweeter side, while enhancing the cookie notes.
