Vertuo opens up a world of choice with its various sizes, origins and barista-quality specialty coffee blends. You can now create any preparation, from espresso or double espresso to capuccino, latte macchiato, Reverso, americano, and many more, all at touch of a button.
Vertuo reads the capsule’s barcode to adapt the brewing parameters (temperature, quantity of water and number of revolutions) to each specific type of coffee blend and size, thus extracting the most out of the aromas and flavours in each cup. You will notice its generous crema which is a sign of ultimate coffee quality, enhancing the tasting pleasure. The crema protects coffee aromas, sealing them in the cup so you can benefit from the full aromatic profile.

What is the machine warranty period for Nespresso machines?
All our Nespresso machines have minimum 2-year warranty. If anything were to occur to your machine during this warranty period, you can contact our customer service representatives who will organise a pickup by the post office. In this case the parcel carrier will pick up your machine from your home on requested date and after repair it will come back the same way. During repair you will be provided a temporary machine.
What is the difference between Original and Vertuo?
The Nespresso Vertuo and Nespresso Original machines use different technologies. The Original line is designed for espresso lovers and uses a 19-bar high-pressure technology for ideal extration of quality espresso, giving you an unforgettable taste. The Vertuo line is designed to provide incomparable coffee experiences in all sizes, providing the same quality in an espresso as a double espresso, Gran Lungo or bigger. Vertuo uses the latest technology to adapt the brewing parameters to the specific coffee blend and size, thus extracting the full aromas from each coffee. Additionally Vertuo provides an even more generous and onctous crema, which is a sign of ultimate coffee quality, enhancing the tasting pleasure. The crema protects coffee aromas, sealing them in the cup so you can benefit from the full aromatic profile.

My machine is not working properly. How can I get it repaired ?
We advise you to contact our technical support directly on the toll-free number 0800 55 52 53. We can use our video chat to perform an accurate diagnosis and find a solution together.
If a repair is necessary, we can organise a pickup with the post office. In this case, a parcel carrier will pick up the machine from your home on the requested date, and once it's repaired, will deliver it to the same address.
During the two-year warranty, this service is of course free of charge.

Are the removable parts of the machines (Original and Vertuo) dishwasher-safe?
No, the removable spare parts are not dishwasher-safe. They can be washed by hand with mild soap and water.
Do I need to register with Nespresso to be able to order?
You can either place an order as a guest or create a customer account.
Why does Nespresso use aluminium for its capsules?
We deliberately chose aluminium as the packaging for our coffee varieties because this material best protects the ground and roasted coffee beans from light, air and moisture, in order to guarantee you freshness from farm to cup for a whole year.
Aluminium can also be infinitely recycled. In addition, we recycle the coffee waste which is used as biogas to provide electricity to Swiss homes. Nespresso also repurposes aluminium from our capsules and coffee waste to manufacture second life items such as shoes, notebooks, pens, pencils and other items.
Thanks to various programmes developed in all cantons with local and national partners, Nespresso has achieved a 100% recycling capacity for aluminium capsules in Switzerland to recover the full material value after use. You can find more information about our recycling programme here.
