Why we love it: High in the mountains of Costa Rica, only a small selection of Arabica coffee beans are steeped in hot springs from the jungle. The hot springs are brought to the wet mill – its temperature drops after 12 hours from 70°C to 18°C. As the water cools, the pulped coffee is steeped in mineral-rich water. The warmer water accelerates fermentation and brings out the finest characteristics of this rare coffee – balanced and clean like no other, it shines in the cup with crystal clarity. The scarcity of this coffee is due to this rare process – no one else does it. It highlights the sweet malt cereal character of this unique artisan coffee.

Master Origin Costa Rica
High in Costa Rica’s mountains, only a small selection of Arabica coffee beans is soaked in rainforest hot spring waters. Costa Rica contains this scarce coffee whose rare process highlights the malty sweet cereal character of this craftsman’s coffee.
Origin
This 100% Arabica, fully washed coffee is sourced high up in the Costa Rican mountains.
Roasting
First batch is roasted in medium temperatures to reach a medium-dark colour and develop sweet malty notes. Second batch is roasted more intensively to reach a darker color and the desired intensity.
All of our Vertuo and Original capsules are now made out of minimum 80% recycled aluminium.
