ROASTING
This blend is roasted using the split-roast technique (50/50). The first split is slight lighter and longer than the second, which balances it out with a darker roast. The result is a balanced, medium dark blend.

AROMATIC PROFILE
Woody, peppery spice, and sweet cereal notes abound; a delicate acidity shimmering through as subtly as sunlight filtering through canopy leaves.

A deliciously unique combination of mushroom infused whipped cream, maple syrup and Limited Edition Forest Black, this recipe boldly celebrates both sweet and savory finds in the forest. Use fresh dill to finish.

Ingredients

  • 1 capsule Forest Black
  • 2 tsps. chaga mushroom powder*
  • 3 Tbs. very hot water
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp. maple syrup
  • Sprigs of fresh dill, optional
  • 1 slice fresh button mushroom
  • *Note: found online or where other superfoods are sold.

Materials

  • Small Glass or bowl
  • Cream Whipper or Whisk and Large mixing bowl
  • View Lungo Glass or Mug

How to make this recipe?

  • Step 1

    In a small glass or bowl, mix together mushroom powder and hot water until smooth. Let steep 10 minutes.
  • Step 2

    If using cream whipper, add mushroom water to whipper with cream.
  • Step 3

    Proceed with manufacturer’s instructions to whip.
  • Step 4

    Otherwise, add mushroom water to heavy cream in large bowl and whisk until soft peaks form.
  • Step 5

    Add maple syrup to your serving glass. Brew capsule directly into glass.
  • Step 6

    Top with generous amount of mushroom whipped cream. Garnish with dill fronds.
  • Step 7

    Place mushroom slice onto foam. Enjoy.
