Taste
-rich volcanic soils along the Kivu lakeshores of Eastern Congo are ideal Arabica terroir. Years of continued conflict and political instability left many plantations abandoned and smallholder farmers tapping only a fraction of Congo's potential for specialty coffee.Nespresso's REVIVING ORIGINS program joins together with over 2800 Kivu farmers and partners to support coffee communities in raising Congo coffee – delivering the first organic coffee in our Reviving Origins range. REVIVING ORIGINS Congo is still a scarce treasure to behold. But each year, we'll bring you more of this smooth organic coffee, alluring complex with its mild fruity note and toasted cereal and nutty aromas

Roasting process
Reviving Origins Congo is a 50/50 split roast. Both splits are dark and short, with the first split being slightly darker and longer to develop more intensity for this coffee. Both splits get a medium grind.
Origins
The rich volcanic soils of the Kivu lakeshores are fertile ground for Congo's farmers to bring you this mild coffee's fruity and sweet cereal notes.

Our recommendation
Our capsules are made of 80% recycled aluminium
This is part of our continued journey towards circularity, going further to minimize waste and maximize the reuse of product materials

Recycled aluminium requires less energy to produce and it provides the perfect barrier against oxygen, light, and humidity to protect the freshness and aromas of coffee over time.
