Recycle your capsules
The recycling bag can hold a maximum of 100 Vertuo capsules or 200 Original capsules. Simply add the number of bags to your basket that suit your order size.
We donate the entire amount to the Farmer Future Program, a social welfare program in collaboration with Fairtrade International. Among other things, the program operates a pension savings scheme for farmers that helps them set aside money and invest for their future.
You can not add your used home compostable capsules in the same recycle bag as your aluminium capsules as they need to be recycled in your home garden composting system or Bokashi (not the bin for food waste). For more info: Read more about compostable capsules
How to recycle your aluminum capsules:
1. Collect your used aluminium capsules in either the Nespresso recycling bag or together with other metal packaging at home.
2. Leave the capsules in the metal collection at your nearest recycling center or take them to your Nespresso Boutique. The bag is sorted as plastic.
Collect Bower points when you deposit your used coffee capsules in the Nespresso recycling bag:
1. Put your coffee capsules in the recycling bag and use the Bower app to collect Bower points.
2. Deposit the bag in your Nespresso Boutique or at the nearest recycling station for metal packaging. The capsules are sorted as metal and the bag as plastic. For more information, visit: www.getbower.com

The bin may be used with or without a plastic bag. When using the bin with a bag, insert the bag and fold it over the rim. Place upper part of the bin on the lower body and make sure that the parts are firmly attached. For transportation, lift the handle in an upright position. Store and transport bin in a vertical position. Deposit capsules into the bin without excess water. Nespresso recommends to empty the bin frequently. Wash your hands after you have emptied the bin. After emptying, clean the recycling bin with warm water and soap. Dry the recycling bin prior to re-use.
