STEPPING UP

Nespresso is proud to be partnering with Conservation International to gift back to the forest this Festive season. Stepping beyond coffee farming to support communities that call the forest home, Nespresso is contributing to the protection of 10 million trees in the Amazon Forest in La Pedrera, Colombia - where Conservation International and the Madroño community work on preserving the area’s forests.

TO NEW HORIZONS

Partners like PUR Projet and Technoserve have helped Nespresso and local coffee farming communities to understand the gifts of the forest, through agroforestry. Agroforestry is an agricultural practice in which trees are grown around or among crops, for soil protection, water replenishment, windbreak, temperature regulation, and additional income - so that not only your coffee, but also the surrounding ecosystems can benefit from the gifts of the forest. 

FROM THE FOREST

For nearly 20 years, the Rainforest Alliance has worked with Nespresso to help secure the stable, long-term supply of sustainably-sourced high-quality coffee, whilst protecting the natural environment and supporting the wellbeing of farmers and communities; through training on farm management for increased productivity and improved harvest quality; and by helping build resilience to climate change through climate-smart agricultural practices.

Using one capsule of Limited Edicion Forest Almond Flavour - all you need extra is 1.5% fat milk, chesnut cream, and a sprinkle of shaved almonds. Add a laurel leaf to finish.

Ingredients

  • Forest Almond Flavour (230ml)
  • 20g Chestnut Cream
  • 100ml 1.5% Fat Milk
  • 5g Shaved & grilled almonds
  • 1x Laurel Leaf

Materials

  • Vertuo Cappuccino Glass
  • Barista machine

How to make this recipe?

  • Step 1

    Pour 100 ml* of 1.5% fat milk directly into the Nespresso Barista device. Close the lid, select the “Cappuccino” recipe on the device and press the start button.
  • Step 2

    Put 20 g of chestnut cream in the bottom of a View Cappuccino cup and pour the milk foam over it.
  • Step 3

    Extract 230ml of Festive Forest Almond Flavour espresso on top of it .
  • Step 4

    Using a spoon, pour over coffee 60ml of hot milk foam.
  • Step 5

    Add shaved almond s on the milk foam and top it off with a Laurel leaf.

ROASTING
The Arabica coffees are split roasted. The Brazilian beans are roasted lightly and quickly to develop their sweetness. The second split gives this Vertuo coffee its velvety texture.
AROMATIC PROFILE
Where does the flavour end and the Arabicas’ aromatics begin? Sweet and nutty, it brims with almond aromas, smooth cereal, vanilla, and a light fruitiness.
