Aluminum Capsules

Recycling at Nespresso means giving your capsules a new life. The aluminum from your capsules can be recycled to make new objects such as cans, pens, or bicycles, while the coffee grounds are transformed into compost or biogas.

In fact, 80% of the aluminum used in our coffee capsules is made from recycled aluminum. Not only is aluminum perfect for protecting against air, light, and moisture, preserving the freshness and aromas of the coffee over time, but it can also be recycled infinitely. And that's exactly what we take advantage of with our aluminum coffee capsules.
