A new coffee destination for Nespresso
We are delighted to introduce you to Zambia, a first for Nespresso. Known for its famous Victoria Falls, this land near the equator has what it takes to produce exceptional Arabica. Altitude, a fresh water source form the landscape in which we encountered the high-quality Arabica variety which we are pleased to bring you in our Zambia coffee.
Origins
Sourced from two farms located in the beautiful Northern province of Zambia. Both farms play a role in producing the fully washed coffee, while the fermentation process is exclusively carried out in one farm.
Roasting
The roast is divided between fermented and non-fermented beans. The overall roast level is medium, with the fermented portion being lighter. This split allows the fruity aromatics of the fermented beans to be preserved.
Unveiling of flavours
Zambia coffee is a Limited Edition that is part of our Master Origins collection. The collection showcases single-origin coffees whose aromatic profiles are highlighted by the expertise of local coffee growers. For Zambia, a specific post-harvest fermentation process reveals notes of exotic fruit and florals.
Co-creation of excellence
Nespresso and French chef Mory Sacko combined their talents to create this exclusive coffee. A carefully conceptualized blend, the idea was to develop a coffee much as a chef envisions an exceptional dish—driven by passionate creativity and inspired by a diversity of influences.
Together, Mory Sacko and our master roasters uncovered the roast that best highlights these Zambian coffee beans’ distinctive qualities.
