If there is no coffee flow, check the power cord has not become jammed between the water tank and the machine and that the machine is switched on (i.e. the power indicator light is on). If the coffee flow is poor, we recommend descaling your machine.

What is Nespresso credit?

Nespresso credit is the monthly amount that you receive on your account after payment of the monthly amount for your coffee subscription. The amount of your monthly Nespresso credit is equal to the monthly amount you pay for your coffee subscription. You are free to spend this credit on coffee, accessories, or delicacies through the Nespresso website, via the app, in one of our Boutiques, and through our telephone customer service.

When can I order my coffee with my Nespresso credit?

Within 2 working days after we receive your payment, we will credit the amount to your Nespresso account. From that moment on you can use the credit to place an order.

What happens if I do not (fully) use my Nespresso credit?

The Nespresso credit that you do not use remains valid for 2 years after it is added to your Nespresso account. All unused credit accumulates.

What happens if I do not have enough credit for my order?

You will automatically pay with your credit. If the amount of your order is higher than the remaining credit, you will pay the remaining amount using one of the available payment methods.

A quick cup of coffee or just enjoy a long time? With the Citiz Platinum & Milk you can choose from four different cup sizes - from espresso to americano - and all the milk recipes you can think of with the integrated Aeroccino3. In addition, the machine also has a handy hot water function. The brewing method with the traditional 19 bar pressure ensures consistent quality. Thanks to the fast heating system, you never have to wait long for your coffee. Simply insert a capsule and choose one of the many options. Citiz Platinum & Milk shines in every kitchen, with a strong design in stainless steel. For when you want to add some shine to your coffee moment.

My machine is not working properly. What should I do? TROUBLESHOOT

Frequently Asked Questions

1. If you have soft water, you need to descale your machine at least once a year. If you have hard water, we recommend that you descale your machine twice a year. (If you do not know what type of water you have, check the water tank. Hard water generally leaves a white residue.)

2. Always remove the capsule after use.

3. Refresh the water in the water tank regularly and routinely empty and clean the used capsule container and drip tray.

4. Do not forget to press one of the coffee volume buttons (such as the Lungo or Espresso button) to let water run through the machine without a capsule before preparing the first cup of coffee. This will clean the extraction system for an even tastier cup of coffee and will heat your coffee cup at the same time.

All Nespresso machines are equipped with a high-pressure pump of 19 bar, which provides the necessary power to pierce the capsule and release the 900 different coffee aromas. The shape of the Nespresso capsule is specially designed to ensure that the water flows under pressure and evenly through the ground coffee during extraction. The temperature and flow time are also essential to ensure that every precious aroma is released.

An Americano is a coffee that consists of 25ml of coffee with 125ml of hot water. With the Citiz Platinum you can make an Americano with the push of a button. An Americano XL is a coffee that consists of 40ml coffee with 160ml hot water. Adding hot water softens bitter notes. The coffee becomes smoother and sweeter, but retains its intrinsic character.

1. If the lights are flashing quickly and continuously, it generally means the machine is in descaling mode or that the draining system has been switched on.

2. If the lights are flashing slowly and intermittently (every two seconds), it means the machine is in (energy-saving) standby mode. If the machine has not been used for nine minutes, it automatically switches into standby mode. If you want the machine to come out of standby mode, simply press any button and the flashing rhythm will change. The machine is ready for use once the buttons stop flashing.
