The maintenance light has different meanings: descaling is needed (refer to your app), the maintenance module is off, the capsule container is full, or the water reservoir is empty. The Nespresso maintenance light warns you when your capsule supply is running low and you can order new ones.

What is Nespresso credit?

Nespresso credit is the monthly amount that you receive on your account after payment of the monthly amount for your coffee subscription. The amount of your monthly Nespresso credit is equal to the monthly amount you pay for your coffee subscription. You are free to spend this credit on coffee, accessories, or delicacies through the Nespresso website, via the app, in one of our Boutiques, and through our telephone customer service.

When can I order my coffee with my Nespresso credit?

Within 2 working days after we receive your payment, we will credit the amount to your Nespresso account. From that moment on you can use the credit to place an order.

What happens if I do not (fully) use my Nespresso credit?

The Nespresso credit that you do not use remains valid for 2 years after it is added to your Nespresso account. All unused credit accumulates.

What happens if I do not have enough credit for my order?

You will automatically pay with your credit. If the amount of your order is higher than the remaining credit, you will pay the remaining amount using one of the available payment methods.

Compact and easy to use, that's the Essenza Mini. This way you can enjoy your coffee moment in all comfort. If you like to drink an espresso or lungo, then the Essenza Mini coffee machine is your match.

The brewing method with the traditional pressure of 19 bar ensures constant quality, so that all the delicious aromas and the crema in your cup always come into their own. Small in size, big in taste.

My machine is not working properly. What should I do? TROUBLESHOOT

Frequently Asked Questions

You can reset both buttons to factory settings with the following simple steps: Make sure the machine is turned off and plugged into a power outlet. Turn on the machine while holding down the lungo button. Release the lungo button after 5 seconds. The LED lights will blink 3 times to confirm that the machine has been reset to factory settings. Your machine is now set to approximately 40 ml for an espresso cup and 110 ml for a lungo cup.

Descale your machine at least once a year if you use soft water. Note: For hard water, it is recommended to descale twice a year. (Look at the water reservoir if you're unsure of your water type, hard water leaves white residue) Order a descaling kit now. Remove the capsule after use. For a good espresso or lungo, water quality is essential. Therefore, we recommend refreshing the water in the reservoir daily. Clean and empty the used capsule container and drip tray regularly. Run water through the spout before making coffee (without a capsule in the machine) by pressing any coffee button. This effectively rinses the coffee brewing unit, raises the temperature, and ensures a perfectly measured amount of coffee.

On average, our machines have a recycling potential of 60%. Additionally, Nespresso customers can now return their machines to the place of purchase or any electronics store. In Europe, the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive has been in effect since 2003. It provides a framework for consumers to return their used electrical and electronic devices for recycling.

All Nespresso machines are equipped with a high-pressure pump of 19 bars. This power is necessary to pierce the capsule and release the approximately 900 different aromas. The shape of the capsules ensures that water flows evenly through the coffee during extraction. The temperature and flow time are also accurately calculated to express all delicate aromas.

This can occur during initial use, after emptying, or after a long period of non-use. Ensure that the water reservoir is sufficiently filled and properly placed. Press the coffee volume button (e.g., lungo or espresso button) several times until the coffee/water flows out. If you experience unusual coffee flow, check the following: The water reservoir is properly placed. The coffee outlet is clean.
