Reviving Origins
Nespresso is partnering with impact venture, OpenSC, to bring new levels of transparency to Kahawa Ya Congo - harnessing technology. Every bag of organic coffee is digitally and securely traced from more than 1,400 smallholder farmers of the AMKA Cooperative in South Kivu.
For the high-quality coffee produced, every AAA farmer receives the right premium payment, directly verified by OpenSC’s technology. This means they receive a fair reward for their work to produce exceptional organic coffee. This is an important step in Nespresso’s transparency journey while bringing the best coffee to you.
Origin
This 100% Arabica coffee is sourced in the rich Lake Kivu shores in eastern Congo.
Roasting
Reviving Origins Congo is a split roast. Both splits are dark and short, with the first being slightly darker and longer to develop more intensity for this coffee.
