Como reciclar

Why do we use aluminium for our coffee capsules?

Aluminum is the best material to preserve the freshness and quality of coffee, protecting it from the adverse effects of air, light and humidity. It minimizes the use of packaging. Aluminum becomes a new raw material for the realization of new objects such as diaries and flowerpots.

Learn how to

recycling your capsules

1. The process starts with the collection of used capsules - all Nespresso capsules are recyclable!

2. You can drop off your capsules as soon as your new order is delivered or leave your bag at Nespresso boutiques and green points around the city. Order your free recycling bags with your order!

3. The used capsules are transported by GEA Sustentable, a specialised logistics company, to the treatment plant.

4. In the specialised treatment plant, the aluminium is separated from the coffee.

5. We donate the coffee to Fundación Huerta Niño for the production of compost for gardens in schools and children's homes. Aluminium is turned into new objects. And with the recycled plastic bags we create container bins.
