Creating Shared Value: Meet Marleny Mayorga, from Rosas, Cauca
A brilliant agronomist with multiple facets, dedicated with “soul life and hat” to her coffee beautiful land
Marleny Mayorga is an agronomist of the Nespresso AAA Program since 2010. She is a coffee woman. She was born in Rosas, Cauca, where her parents, coffee growers, started her from an early age to growing coffee.
After graduating with honors as Agro Zootecnista at Universidad del Cauca, he returned to his land to manage his own farm - Villa Soffy - and supported the farmers of the Nespresso AAA Program located in the municipality of Sotará.

Because of her university career and her personal experience as a coffee grower, she understands better than anyone "the challenges, opportunities and changes that must be implemented to achieve the highest quality in coffee". She feels blessed to share her "day to day with the coffee growers and their families" for whom she feels "a great admiration, respect and affection".

Marleny is proud of the work she has done during her 8 years as an agronomist of the Nespresso AAA Program. He emphasizes that he has seen the farms become real coffee companies. She also highlights that her work as an agronomist has allowed her to become a successful coffee farmer, with a true projection towards the future and with the unwavering will to continue dedicating herself "with soul, life and hat" to her coffee land.
In Colombia 129 agronomists support the coffee farmers of the Nespresso AAA sustainable quality program and 40% are women.
