What makes Orafio glow in your cup is a combination of masterful blending, bringing together both high quality Arabica and Robusta coffees from a diversity of origins, and skilful split roasting. Sounds a bit like the level of craftmanship that goes into this coffee’s namesake, doesn’t it? The Italians among us will recognize the link to their word for goldsmith.
Taste
This blend combines high-quality, naturally processed Robustas from Uganda with fine Arabicas from Brazil and Costa Rica. Orafio and its high Robusta content remains a light blend that displays brown caramel, liquorice and spicy notes, with a hint of acidity and a long-lasting, pleasantly bitter aftertaste. High-quality Robustas are roasted lighter and longer to elevate the intensity of your cup, while Arabicas are roasted more strongly and for a shorter period of time to nuance the intensity.
In a Latte Macchiato recipe, the coffee character of Orafio softens, giving way to sweet caramel and smooth milky notes. Oat milk and its slightly sweet and vanilla notes naturally reinforce the caramel notes of the coffee.
