1 - Prior to cleaning and disinfecting the machine, it is recommended to :

Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as a face mask and disposable gloves.

Use disinfectant solution or disinfectant wipes.

Turn the machine off during disinfection.

2 - To clean and disinfect :

Remove and wash all external components, such as, the water tank, drip tray, cup holder support and capsule container.

Perform a general cleaning of the exterior surface with a soft nontoxic cleaner and a disposable paper towel.

Use warm water on areas that come into contact with water or milk (e.g. coffee and milk outlets or milk sensor suction hoses).

Gently wipe disinfectant on common touch areas of the machine, such as, levers, handles and push buttons only.

Allow 2-3 minutes for the disinfectant to dry. Do not wipe it off.

3 – To turn the machine on :

Refer to the machine restart checklist if you are operating the machine after an extended period of time.

or

Proceed as normal if the machine has been in regular use the last few months.

Ensure machine is off.

Remove and empty water tank(s).

Wash water tank(s) with mild soap.

Return the water tank(s) to the machine (and fill with fresh water if you don’t have a direct water connection).

Turn the machine on; the machine will do an automatic rinsing.

If you have a direct water connection, repeat every step once again

Run a few drinks without coffee capsules (on each head, if applicable).

Repeat last step, if needed.

Turn the machine / fridge on.

Run a cold start rinse as prompted on the display. See video «start/restart» here

Run an automated full cleaning cycle after machine has heated up. See video «start/restart» here

Run a few drinks on each head, without coffee capsules. Repeat if needed.
