A coffee with a smooth yet intense charm,
the Cappuccino may seem similar to caffé latte,
but it delivers its own unique experience.

its meaning, and recipes with Nespresso Professional.
Characteristics of Cappuccino
Enjoy with rich milk foam

The cappuccino, a coffee well-known as a staple coffee menu
alongside the Americano and caffé latte,
is known for its cloud-like smooth and rich foam.
Depending on the recipe, it can also be enjoyed with
cinnamon or cocoa powder for a richer experience.
The Origin of Cappuccino
Resemblant of Italian monk coats

The word Cappuccino originated from the Italian word
'Cappucio', meaning hood, in English.
In the past, Italian monks wore a white belt over their
brown hooded coats, and its colors were said to resemble
those of coffee mixed with milk,
hence its naming as the cappuccino.
The difference between
the cappuccino and caffé latte
Different amounts of milk and foam

What could be some differences between
caffé latte and cappuccino?
They are similar in the fact that they both add
milk to coffee, but the difference lies in the amount of milk
and presence of foam.
Caffé latte usually is added with 4~5 times the amount of
milk to espresso, but cappuccino just adds 1~1.5 times
the amount of milk with generous amounts of foam on top.
Depending on preferences, caffé latte is often enjoyed with
syrup or cream at the bottom of the cup, while cappuccino is
often added with cinnamon powder on top of the foam
for a richer aroma and taste.
Cappuccino Recipes
Made easy with Nespresso Professional capsule coffee

First, extract espresso in a cappucino-sized cup.
Add cold or warm milk into the cup, about 1~1.5 times
the volume of espresso, then top with a similar volume of
milk foam, prepared with the Aeroccino,
Nespresso's premium milk device.
A 1:1:1 ratio is golden, but feel free to add more milk foam
based on preference. Complete with a light sprinkle of
cinnamon or cocoa powder on top.
Enjoy a delightful cup of cappuccino
with Nespresso Professional's 'Creation' range,
with Bianco Intenso, Caffè Caramello, or Caffè Nocciola.
