Cleaning Coffee Machines, the Proper Way

Just as there is a saying, 'Coffee is welfare!',
the office and coffee are in an inseparable relationship.
It's easy to come across offices adopting coffee machines
to provide better coffee for employees.
Nespresso capsule coffee machines are easy to manage in
the office, with simple extractions and cleaning procedures.
Though the cleaning methods vary depending on the machine,
let's find out more, with Nespresso Professional.
Cleaning Nespresso Professional Coffee Machines
Regular descaling and washing are needed

For a perfect cup of Nespresso coffee, the machines
regularly need to be descaled and washed.
As coffee is extracted, the water used contains minerals
such as calcium and magnesium.
As the water passes through the machine, limescale builds up.
Descaling is the process of removing this limescale.
Let us guide you through the descaling and washing processes
for Nespresso Professional coffee machines.
Zenius Descaling
Done in just 15 minutes

Descaling a Zenius machine takes about 15 minutes.
First, turn off the machine and empty the capsule container
and drip tray. Place the Zenius water tank below
the coffee outlet and remove the filter from the tank.
Fill up the tank with at least 1L of water, and press the
'Ristretto' button and then turn the machine on in order to
activate descaling mode.
When a red light flashes on the 'Ristretto' button,
press it once again. The red light will then start blinking,
initiating the descaling process.
The red light on the 'Ristretto' button will turn off,
and the 'Lungo' button will start flashing.
After washing the water tank, fill it up once again with
2L of drinking water.
Automatic rinse will begin when you press the 'Lungo' button.
When the machine stops momentarily,
press the red Lungo button again to resume the rinse.
When the descaling is complete, 4 buttons will flash with
white light. Refill the water tank with drinking water,
and enjoy the optimal coffee taste.
Momento Descaling
Just follow the screen instructions

The Momento series flashes red on the screen
when descaling is needed.
Press the descaling indicator and follow the
instructions on the screen.
Detach the water tank from the machine and empty it out.
(Filter also needs to be removed if there is one)
Fill up the water tank with water, up to the labeled
descaling mark. Descaling process will not be done properly
if the water exceeds or is below the labeled descaling mark.
Close the lid and reattach to the machine.
Place the wastewater basket component below the coffee outlet,
and press the button to start the rinsing process.
When it is completed, the descaling process for Momento
is done. If the filter was removed, attach it again
after getting the water tank out.
Fill up the water tank with drinking water,
ready for coffee extraction.
Aguila Descaling
Once a day is a must

The Aguila machine needs to be descaled once every 24 hours
for the proper operation of milk functions and more.
We'll be guiding you through each component.
First remove the used capsule and press the wash button
on the left side of the display, and press it again
for 3 seconds. Wash the milk container in the refrigerator
clean and wipe the milk nozzle with wet tissue.
It is crucial to ensure that there are no leftovers
on the filter at the end of the nozzle.
Wipe down the interior of the refrigerator and
the milk container lid, and place the milk container
back into the refrigerator.
For Aguilla 440, insert a 5L milk container.
Press one of the coffee buttons, open the refrigerator,
and pull out the key at the top. Put 2 washing pods
on the rear end of the key and insert the key back in.
Follow the instructions after inserting the key to start
the descaling. During the process, the refrigerator door
must be opened in order to prevent overheating.
After the refrigerator wash is done, remove the milk container
and completely wipe dry the moisture inside.
Take out all the machine components and trays and
wash them thoroughly. The machine can be wiped down
with a wet towel, without using detergents.
The next step is to clean the coffee outlet.
Pull down the coffee outlet by using the detaching tool.
After both coffee outlets are detached, clean the outlets
with neutral detergent and rinse with clean water.
Wipe the coffee outlet component with a moist towel
and attach the coffee outlet back into place.
The Aguila also comes with an automatic rinse function.
5 minutes after a milk recipe extraction, the milk system
rinse is automatically started to maintain hygiene.
Every time a milk recipe is extracted, an interior rinse is
automatically started right after completion
for around 20 seconds.
If the last extraction used a milk recipe,
an exterior rinse will be started for around 25 seconds,
5 minutes after the extraction.
Nespresso Capsule Coffee Machine Cleaning Frequency
How frequently do I need to clean?

some ideal descaling periods. Descaling is required once
every 6 months for around 25 extractions per day,
