How to reprogrammed your cup size

Programme the volume of your Ristretto, Espresso, or Lungo based on your preference. Follow these simple steps to reprogramme the coffee volume: Step 1: Switch off the coffee machine. Step 2: Simultaneously press the hot water and Lungo buttons while turning on your machine. The buttons will flash in a clockwise direction. Then, insert a coffee capsule. Step 3: To programme the new volume settings, press and hold the button of your choice. Once the desired volume is achieved, release the button. The coffee machine will flash 3 times to confirm your modification has been successful. Tips: Ensure that the edges of the coffee capsules are straight to prevent blockage. To enjoy your Lungo coffee, pivot the tray to allow for a larger cup or glass.

Removing the used Nespresso capsules after each use

Remove the Nespresso capsule from the machine after every use to prevent it from remaining in the extraction system. Empty your capsule container regularly and drip tray to avoid overflowing. After using your machine for the last time of the day, simply let a cup of water without a capsule flow through to wash away any residue left in the flow system.

Understanding how the coffee machine buttons work

Ristretto and Lungo button flash: To replace the filter (if installed), located in the water tank. Hot water button flash: Your coffee machine is overheating. Switch off the machine and let it cool down for approximately 20 minutes. Recommended: Place your coffee machine in a location not affected by direct sunlight to avoid overheating. Red light flashing on all 4 buttons simultaneously: Refill the water tank with fresh water. Red light flashing on all 4 buttons in a clockwise direction for 15 seconds: It's time to descale your coffee machine. Descaling ensures that the temperature is maintained and optimal quality of your Nespresso coffee. The descaling alert will first appear when the machine is switched on and is repeated every hour.
