What is a Granita?

Granita is a refreshing and icy dessert that originated in Italy. It is made by freezing a mixture of water, sugar, and flavourings, such as fruit juice or coffee, and then scraping it with a fork to create a granular texture.Coffee Granitais a delightful variation that captures the bold and invigorating flavours of coffee in a cool, light, and icy texture.

One of the key features of the granita is its texture. The ice flakes create a unique and granular consistency that is both refreshing and satisfying. As you take a spoonful, the icy flakes melt quickly, releasing a burst of flavour and providing a delightful contrast to the smoothness of the coffee. The natural sweetness of the coffee is also enhanced by the addition of sugar, creating a harmonious blend of flavours that is both invigorating and indulgent.

To create this indulgent treat, start by extracting 80mls of a strong and flavourfulNespressocoffee of your choice. We recommendPeanut and Roasted Sesame Coffee.
