Crafted by Vélosophy, the frame of this chic city bicycle is made using 95% recycled aluminium, including 20% recycled Nespresso capsules from our Swiss recycling program.
What’s more? Now you can even take one for a ride here in Australia. While the RE:CYCLE bicycles are made and sold by Vélosophy in Sweden, a number of our partner hotels across the country are now offering their guests the chance to borrow them to explore the local area as part of their stay – starting with QT Bondi.
The bikes represent the perfect balance of sustainability and style. Vélosophy have included Nespresso fan touches to the design, such as a capsule-shaped bell and coffee cup-holder for the ultimate coffee-on-the-go experience.

Protecting the environment is top of mind, and at QT Bondi, we’re committed to making meaningful change through sustainable practices. By joining Nespresso’s bulk recycling program, we’re enhancing our efforts to reduce carbon emissions, minimize waste, and use natural resources responsibly.
Our sustainable initiatives include:
- Room Refresh: Guests can help us save nearly 50 litres of water and 0.65 KW of electricity each time by opting out of daily housekeeping, reducing our environmental impact.
- Single-Use Plastic Water Bottles: We're cutting down on landfill waste by minimizing the use of single-use plastic water bottles.
- Room Stationery: When digital isn't possible, we've limited printed items to a maximum of 7 per room, reducing waste.
- Training: Comprehensive staff training ensures everyone is aligned with EVT’s sustainability goals.Partnering with Nespresso allows us to make a greater, lasting impact, aligning with our dedication to proactive and positive environmental stewardship.
