Double Espresso Scuro is a espresso lungo that is both intense and full-bodied. It has a dark smoky character that’s balanced out by cocoa and vanilla notes – it packs a double punch.
Has a taste similar to cocoa or dark chocolate.
Can be perceived in the mouth at the back of the tongue.
Offers a dry sensation in the mouth, evoking lemon.
Usually perceived on the sides of the tongue.

Origins
This espresso lungo is a blend of robusta and arabica, all Central American coffees. The robusta and the arabica is from Costa Rica. To make sure the caffeine levels in this double espresso didn’t get too high, we decaffeinated a portion of this double shot coffee. Double Espresso Scuro is, after all, double the size of a single shot of espresso.
Roasting
This Nespresso double espresso is roasted in two splits – we keep the robusta and arabica separate but give them both a full roast. It develops the intense cocoa note and Double Espresso Scuro’s smoky character.
