This exquisite blend is a true reflection of Florence’s cultural significance: An intellectual hub in the heart of Italy, drawing influences from all the country. Ispirazione ARPEGGIO roasting style brings these influences together by combining fruity notes traditionally found in the North of Italy with cocoa notes from the South, culminating in a velvety, dense and creamy cup.
ORIGIN
ARPEGGIO is an intense, pure Arabica blend structured on the back of a Costa Rican coffee. By nature a coffee of malted notes, this Costa Rican turns cocoa-like in reaction to deep roasting, a characteristic that ultimately defines the blend. It has a remarkable creamy, velvety texture, the result of a very finely calibrated grind and dosage. Launched in 1993 as ARPEGGIO, it remains a customer favourite repeatedly winning consumer taste surveys.
ROASTING
We crafted ARPEGGIO to pay tribute to the culture of this city which draws from the light North to the dark South. An intense roast of the coffee beans develops the distinct characteristics of each of ARPEGGIO’s coffees. It may be a blend, but it seeks to let each coffee shine in the cup. The malty aroma turns into the cocoa notes that give this espresso its gravitas.
AROMATIC PROFILE
ARPEGGIO is dense and creamy with bold roasty and cocoa notes. The crema gives it a creamy, velvety texture that is irresistible. You might even call it high art.

Why aluminum?
Aluminum is a perfect barrier to oxygen, light and humidity to protect the freshness and the aromas of high-quality coffee, over time. Besides, is infinitely recyclable and is one of the most widely recycled materials in the world.
The only way to become more circular is to ensure what comes to an end always becomes a new beginning.
Our goal was to have our Original capsules made using 80% recycled aluminum by the end of 2021, what we have successfully achieved. And now we will gradually extend this initiative to all Vertuo capsules by the end of 2022. But because Vertuo capsules are slightly larger than the Original, the aluminum content of recycled sources in this range will be 85%.
