The capacity of Vertuo coffee is set by Nespresso coffee experts to provide the optimal coffee experience. However, when enjoying coffee with added ice or milk, you can use the "Ice & Latte Mode" When you double-click the button on the Vertuo Creatista/Lattissima/Pop/Next, the coffee is extracted (indicated by flashing turquoise light) to be optimized for enjoying as iced coffee or latte, delivering a rich coffee flavor that becomes even sweeter and creamier when milk or ice is added, along with the extraction quantity tailored for enjoying as iced coffee or latte. Additionally, we highly recommend that you perform the Milk System Cleaning Procedure monthly or when the display shows "Clean Steam Wand". It takes approximately 10 minutes.

Descale when prompted on-screen. It takes approximately 15 minutes.
Please note that the machine will stop you from use if the descale cycle has not been performed after 10 uses. A "lockout" count-down will appear to alert you of the number of uses remaining until usage will stop.
