50 years of conflict in the Colombian region of Caquetá has forced farmers to abandon their lands. But a renewed peace has finally given rise to a thriving new era for the local coffee. Since the signing of the peace agreement in 2016, Nespresso’s REVIVING ORIGINS program has worked to support thousands of farmers to provide them with tools, processing equipment and expertise. The results didn’t wait long. ESPERANZA de COLOMBIA is a rich and balanced Arabica with fine acidity and a delicate flutter of fruit.

ORIGIN
Single origin blend of Caquetá from the Republic of Colombia.

ROASTING
ESPERANZA de COLOMBIA goes through two phases of split roasting. The first split delivers the spin of this blend and its initial, light color. The second split is roasted in a shorter time and delivers a little darker bean color. It gives this coffee its mild notes and juicy character.

AROMATIC PROFILE
Rounded and beautifully balanced, the coffee boasts an aromatic bouquet of yellow fruits with a delicate hint of cereal notes.
