Great coffee. Narrow but very long design.

Just got the white Vertuo next yesterday! So far my house smells amazing. My only complaint and a fault of my own I wish I would have paid more attention to the dimensions. The next is narrow but very long I can’t seem to find a spot anywhere in my kitchen that it will fit nicely. I wish I would have chosen the flat or round head instead for a more square footprint to fit better on the counter as the water reservoir doesn’t seem to be at the back of those which also makes it difficult to get to on the next. This morning while trying to get the very thick stiff power cord out to plug it in it knocked off the water reservoir lid and it sank all the way to the bottom of the water tank. Just personal preference as I have zero experience with Nespresso machines so I’m still learning but if I had to do it again I would choose differently.

Dead after only 20 months....like so many others in the reviews. Immediately following descaling, the machine stopped drawing water from the reservoir. Machine stalls, 2 red blinks. Tried all the on line cleaning & re-starting hacks. No luck. Do not buy the hype. A 'Good' product would come with a 5 year warranty. This company cowers behind a 12 month warranty with full knowledge of the failure rate.

(Vertuo Pop+) Returned after one month because: #1 The coffee temperature was barely warm, thus I had to heat it up in the microwave, every time. Background; Most coffee shop brews are too hot for me. A typical Starbucks coffee I have to let sit for a few minutes with the lid off, to cool to a comfortable temp for me. This machine produces great coffee but at a temperature that is only warm. I've read other reviews that have stated this also. #2 It's so loud! And vibrates on the counter! #3 The slide mechanism that empties the used pod into the bin stopped working after only a few uses. Not a big deal, but it's something. It does brew great tasting coffee, but if you like it on the hotter side, the machine I got didn't make it that way. After some research, I purchased the VertuoPlus ( Breville, rounded top), and what a difference. The temp is more on the hotter side, I could even let it sit for a minute for the temp to calm down a little for me. And it's much quieter, just a pleasant humm. The water tank is larger, and can be moved to either side or behind the machine. The one touch electric opening and closing is a bonus, and the pod disposal slide is working fine. I think this one is a keeper and I hope it lasts for years.

I bought this model in September when my Vertuo Next finally kicked the bucket. I have had nothing but problems and malfunctions with the Vertuo Pop. I do a clean cycle once a week and it still has residue that makes it stick and not brew my coffee. It's made of plastic and the metal spring that makes the bars empty the pod after use broke off. It is very poorly made.

This is so much better than the bigger version the virtual next this is so compact and the water tank is not in the back. It’s on the side so it just doesn’t take up as much counterspace. It’s a mini version and I prefer this to my larger one and the fact that it’s even less expensive and newly updated is just a huge bonus. The brewing speed is about 30 seconds. There are tons of flavor options and need a nice creamy and frothy brew every time it has not disappointed I love the compact machine, and the colors are gorgeous

We didn’t know what we were missing until we replaced our Keurig with this machine. We even prefer to use it rather than getting coffee from our favorite cafes! It is by far the most delicious espresso and coffee we have ever had, and so simple and easy to operate. We also have the milk frother and love how simple it is to make cafe-style drinks at home. The coffee flavor choices are always fun to pick, we just wish there were more decaf flavors too!

My husband purchased this thing about 6 weeks ago. It worked ok for 5 weeks and now is completely dead. It worked one day and not the next. The button doesn't light up at all. The manual says that if the light isn't on, the machine isn't on. Really? No **** Sherlock. No explanation as to why it isn't on. I plugged it in to various outlets, made sure it was locked properly, the water jug was full and attached properly, tried different pods (wasted 3 expensive limited edition ones) and nothing. It is going in the garbage. I read some negative reviews by people who had their's die in 6 months to a year. They were lucky. Mine didn't even last 2 months!! Inferior product. The 2 or 3 cups I got out of it didn't even taste that great anyway. The flavoured ones didn't actually have a flavour. They just tasted like burnt regular coffee. Will never buy another nespresso product. 0 stars for me on this thing.

The machine is great, until you need to descale it. I had nothing but issues with descaling this thing. It does not program back to coffee making mode and becomes garbage. I did have it covered under warranty at one point, and it was fixed, lasted another year after the fix and would not get out of descaling mode. Not the only person with this issue, do research before purchasing this is a major issue with these machines. Ended up purchasing a round head nespresso instead.

The coffee is fine and the POP is attractive but, far from being the smallest footprint, the water tank is NOT movable, so it takes up more space and is awkward. You should note that on the description as the videos of the swiveling tank are a sales point for the Next. The POP tank doesn't swivel.

I don’t know where to start, but I’mma keep it simple. I was so happy that I taste a cup of coffee from this machine and it was so good so I had to get one. I had it for a couple of months I was sick I couldn’t use it And when I finally opened it up, it was used it didn’t work. I had to clean it then it finally worked. Every time I use it, I have to clean it before I brew the coffee because it won’t work One day it made a loud noise. I thought it was gonna explode. I don’t recommend this machine Nespresso you could do better.

My machine stopped working after 2 days. I was able to get the machine up and running, connected to WiFi and poured a few cups of coffee. The following day, my machine would not turn on, despite trying multiple outlets for power sources. Very disappointed. I spent a lot of money on a machine for it to malfunction so quickly.

Great Coffee Quality but Troublesome Troubleshoot

I purchased this machine a while ago because I wanted something compact and simple, and I'm not a heavy coffee drinker—I only use it about four times a month. For me, that’s perfect; I enjoy knowing I can make a good cup of coffee whenever I feel like it. The quality of coffee is great, no question about that. However, I’ve run into some issues with the machine, despite my limited use. Since it only has one button, it can be hard to diagnose problems when something goes wrong. For example, when a red light appears, I usually have to try several different solutions before I can figure out what’s wrong and fix it. This can be frustrating because it’s not always clear what the issue is. Even though there’s an app, it doesn’t give specific troubleshooting guidance, which I think would be very helpful, especially for a one-button machine like this. I have seen reviews mentioning that the machine is loud, and it definitely is, but for me, the quality of the coffee makes up for that. Overall, I’d still recommend it, especially if you’re looking for something small and stylish that consistenly delivers great coffee. But for anyone considering it, just know that if it stops working, you may have to go through a bit of trial and error to get it running again. I really hope Nespresso considers enhancing the app to provide clearer guidance on what each error light means in the future.

We took a chance on the Vertuo Pop Plus and are returning it. We wanted something smaller and wanted to try some of the larger pods. 1. It is super noisy. If you live in close quarters it is noisy enough to wake others up in the morning. 2. It's hard to close and just feels overall cheap. Our older model is much better quality, not as noisy, and easier to open close / use. 3. It's not as frothy as our older model. A personal preference, but a big minus for us. 4. The coffee didn't feel overheated temperature wise, but it smelled and tasted overheated. For reference, exact same pods used in the older machine the same day, so definitely a machine issue vs a pod issue. Just some things to consider if you're looking for a smaller machine; this one may not be it.

Love the size, but is it normal for it to sound like a jet engine is taking off? This is my first Nespresso purchase and the coffee and expresso are great it is just so loud!

This machine died on me two years in. Don’t buy this machine, it’s a waste of money.
