To program Espresso or Lungo volumes: simply press and hold the respective button and release it once the desired volume is served. LEDs will blink fast 3 times to confirm the new setting. Volume is now stored for the next preparations.

Preheat the cup. Make sure descaling is done correctly according to descaling alert and that you have set the water hardness according to your location.

Position the capsule correctly. If leakages still occur, call Nespresso.

Machine is in error, overheating or in an environment below 0°C / 32°F. Please wait for all buttons to stop blinking, this may take a few minutes. If buttons still blink after a few minutes, unplug and replug the machine. If problem persists, call Nespresso.

Do not use any strong cleaning agent or solvent cleaner. Use a damp cloth and mild cleaning agent to clean the surface of the machine.

No, do not put any machine components in the dishwasher.

According to your consumption profile as well as the water hardness you have set in the machine (please refer to “Water hardness setting” section in the user manual), the machine will trigger a descaling alert visible on the top of the machine. To optimize descaling intervals and keep a machine well serviced for optimal in cup quality, we highly recommend setting the machine with the water hardness you have at your place.

To turn the machine on, press any button.
- Blinking Lights: heating up (approx. 30 seconds)
- Steady Lights: ready

Note that the descaling process takes approximately 15 minutes.

1. Lift and close the lever to eject any capsules in the used capsule container. Empty the drip tray, drip base and used capsule container. Fill the water tank with 0.5L of fresh potable water.
2. Pour 1 Nespresso descaling liquid sachet into the water tank.
3. Place a container (min. volume 0.6L) under the coffee outlet.
4. Switch the machine on. Blinking light: heating up. Steady light: ready
5. To enter the descaling mode, press the Espresso and Lungo buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. They will start blinking.
6. Press the Lungo button and wait until the water tank is empty.
7. Refill the water tank with the used descaling solution collected in the container and press the Lungo button till water tank is empty.
8. Rinse the water tank. Fill with fresh potable water up to the max. level. Empty the 1L container and place it back. Empty the drip base.
9. When ready, press the Lungo button to rinse machine. Repeat twice. To exit the descaling mode, press both buttons simultaneously for one three seconds. The machine is now ready for use.

With the machine off, press and hold the Espresso button for 3 seconds. The Espresso button will blink to indicate the current setting (1x Single blinking: 2mins mode: 2x Double blinking: 30mins mode). To change this setting press the Espresso button: One time for auto power-off mode after 30 minutes. One more time for auto power-off mode after 2 minutes. To exit, press and hold the Lungo button.

Switch off the machine, press and hold the Lungo button for 5 seconds. Lights will blink fast 3x to confirm machine has been reset.

Turn the machine off by pressing the Espresso and Lungo button simultaneously (short press – less than 1 second).
