What is the "Coffee Creations" mode on the Vertuo Lattissima machine?

Are the machine parts dishwasher safe?

All milk carafe parts are dishwasher safe. The other removable parts are not.

How to switch the machine ON/OFF?

Turn the machine ON by pushing the coffee button or locking/unlocking the lever. Turn the machine OFF by holding the coffee button for 3 seconds.

How to reprogram the cup size I want?

The programming is specific to each capsule size. Cup sizes can be preprogrammed from 0.7 oz/20 ml to 17 oz./ 500 ml. To do this, insert the capsule for which you wish to reprogram the volume, push and hold the button until desired volume is reached. Water volume level is then stored for the capsule size used for the programming.

How to descale my machine?

See User Manual or Tutorial video for detailed procedure. You can also use the Nespresso app if your machine is paired. Thanks to the step-by-step procedure, descaling your machine is super easy.

Can I regulate the heat of Vertuo Lattissima?

No. the temperature varies for each blend and cannot be altered. If you would like a warmer coffee, it is recommended to preheat your cup by rinsing it in hot water to help maintain the temperature and mix the coffee with the crema once brewed.

Can I use classic Nespresso capsules in the Vertuo machines?

No. The classic Nespresso capsules cannot be used in the Vertuo machine system. They interact with the systems in different ways. These are two separate lines that will appeal to different types of coffee lovers.

With this mode, the coffee volumes are concentrated as below:
For Espresso capsules: 40ml (1.4 fl oz) -> 25ml (0.85 fl oz)
For Double-Espresso capsules: 80ml (2.7 fl oz) -> 40ml (1.4 fl oz)
For Gran Lungo capsules: 150ml (5.1 fl oz) -> 40ml (1.4 fl oz)
For Mug capsules: 230ml (7.8 fl oz) -> 80ml (2.7 fl oz)
For Bianco Piccolo and Bianco Doppio, the extraction parameters are already pre-programmed to be mixed with milk. You will find the recommendations on our coffee packaging.
For Alto capsules, we do not recommend using this mode.
For Carafe and Cold Brew style capsules, coffees have been developed to be extracted without this mode.

In line with our company wide sustainability approach, we seek to minimize the amount of energy required to produce a cup of coffee. Since 2009, all new Nespresso machine ranges have all been equipped with an energy-saving mode, or an automatic power-off function. The Vertuo Lattissima machine has an auto-off at 2 minutes and an A+ energy rating.

Plug the power cord.

Make sure that no accessory is plugged to the machine (milk carafe or descale pipe).

Turn on your machine.

Press and hold the hot foam button until both descale and rinse alerts blink simultaneously.

Press the hot foam button within 15 seconds. Only the hot foam button will blink.

Press again the hot foam button. All 3 milk based recipes will blink three times to confirm factory reset.

The descaling frequency depends on the machine usage and the water hardness, which varies based on how often coffee is consumed in the household and the water of that particular location. The general rule is every 300 cups of coffee. The most reliable way to ensure it is ready to descale is through the descaling alert or by checking the status through the App.

All removable spare parts can be hand washed with mild soap and water. The milk carafe can be hand washed or washed in the top rack of your dishwasher. The machine is equipped with a cleaning procedure (see User Manual or tutorial video for detailed procedure). This process takes approximately 5 minutes. The external part of the machine can be wiped down with a damp cloth.

The machine does not require a specific cleaning frequency from a hygienic perspective. You may define the best frequency after learning how often you use the machine. A suggestion is to run it after two weeks to observe the cleanliness of the water. You may then decide to increase or decrease the frequency based on your preferences.

The only thing holding me back from loving it is the temperature. I prefer my coffee hotter, and it tends to cool too fast. If Nespresso fixes that, it would be a 5-star machine for me.”

Cafés avec très bons goûts. J'aime dosé moi-même la quantité de lait. J'aime pas que le goût du café soit noyé dans une trop grande quantité de lait ou trop allongé avec de l'eau. J'aime bien les capsules 40 et 80 ml. C'est mes préférées. Le goût du café est vraiment là avec un peu de mousse chaude.
