When you ask Ritou Maloni for her perfect menu item to pair with coffee, the options seem endless. “Everything on our menu pairs really well with a coffee. Any one of our egg dishes goes well with a latte bowl. I just don’t know what doesn’t go well with coffee!” But one menu item really stands out as the perfect candidate to be served along with a coffee. “One of the most popular pairings our guests love is our decadent Carole's Cinna-Cakes with a fresh latte. They’re made with a cinnamon swirl, then topped with icing glaze, caramel and whipped cream. The sweetness just pairs so well with the milky deliciousness of a Nespresso latte. These Cinna-Cakes were actually inspired and named after my fellow co-founder's mom. They really take the pancake and bring it to the next level.”
The fact that menu items are named after family members of the founders and staff members isn’t a coincidence. Any labour of love that expands as quickly as PÜR & SIMPLE has a dedicated team behind it. “I have a beautiful team, and they always make me a coffee when I come in! They know my favourite Nespresso Professional coffee is Espresso Caramel. I love it. It’s very smooth and I don’t even need milk with it, either as an espresso or a Lungo.”
