This would be a great machine if only it was a bit more reliable! I have had 3 of these in the last 4 years and the third one just broke down today with the same blinking orange light issue (factory reset, cleaning and descaling didn't fix the issue either!) Just bought a CitiZ instead hoping those one last a bit longer.

Do not buy this machine!

Do not buy this machine! I have had it replaced 3 times within 10 months and now have only 2 months warranty left which means when the replacement brakes they won’t replace it. I have wasted so much money on pods that didn’t work and so much of my time having to return the broken machine each time. Not to mention not being able to have my morning coffee. Very disappointed!

I got this for Christmas from my Fiancee, I was wasting money on coffee shop lattes but this has saved the day! I love being able to make an iced or hot latte from the comfort of home and for a fraction of the price. The machine works well and is easy to use!

Great coffee. Narrow but very long design.

Just got the white Vertuo next yesterday! So far my house smells amazing. My only complaint and a fault of my own I wish I would have paid more attention to the dimensions. The next is narrow but very long I can’t seem to find a spot anywhere in my kitchen that it will fit nicely. I wish I would have chosen the flat or round head instead for a more square footprint to fit better on the counter as the water reservoir doesn’t seem to be at the back of those which also makes it difficult to get to on the next. This morning while trying to get the very thick stiff power cord out to plug it in it knocked off the water reservoir lid and it sank all the way to the bottom of the water tank. Just personal preference as I have zero experience with Nespresso machines so I’m still learning but if I had to do it again I would choose differently.

Waste of money

Dead after only 20 months....like so many others in the reviews. Immediately following descaling, the machine stopped drawing water from the reservoir. Machine stalls, 2 red blinks. Tried all the on line cleaning & re-starting hacks. No luck. Do not buy the hype. A 'Good' product would come with a 5 year warranty. This company cowers behind a 12 month warranty with full knowledge of the failure rate.

Piece of junk! Don't buy!

My husband purchased this thing about 6 weeks ago. It worked ok for 5 weeks and now is completely dead. It worked one day and not the next. The button doesn't light up at all. The manual says that if the light isn't on, the machine isn't on. Really? No **** Sherlock. No explanation as to why it isn't on. I plugged it in to various outlets, made sure it was locked properly, the water jug was full and attached properly, tried different pods (wasted 3 expensive limited edition ones) and nothing. It is going in the garbage. I read some negative reviews by people who had their's die in 6 months to a year. They were lucky. Mine didn't even last 2 months!! Inferior product. The 2 or 3 cups I got out of it didn't even taste that great anyway. The flavoured ones didn't actually have a flavour. They just tasted like burnt regular coffee. Will never buy another nespresso product. 0 stars for me on this thing.

Doesn't switch out of descaling mode.

The machine is great, until you need to descale it. I had nothing but issues with descaling this thing. It does not program back to coffee making mode and becomes garbage. I did have it covered under warranty at one point, and it was fixed, lasted another year after the fix and would not get out of descaling mode. Not the only person with this issue, do research before purchasing this is a major issue with these machines. Ended up purchasing a round head nespresso instead.

Whilst the coffee is great its functionality leaves a bit to be desired. My previous Vertuo machine required minimal effort to operate whereas this machine is 'clunky' by comparison.

Noisy. Coffee flow is slow and atvthe start and end of a cycle is a bare trickle. Takes too long to make an 80ml cup. Considering going back to the original system or dumping Nespresso altogether.

Dont by Nespresso Vertuo model - any of them

Flimsy, cheap materials and nowhere near as sturdy and functional as the last Vertuo model we had. The cup holder falls off at the slightest brush-past, the top is unwieldy to open and close. Water storage is less than previously. All in all a very cheap facsimile of what used to be high Nespresso standards. Nespresso held its market and higher prices by quality. This is rubbish and ought be sold in Aldi's where prices reflect lesser labels.

Good coffee - terrible design.

Makes great coffee but the design is terrible. Placing the water at the back seems like a great idea but in practice it's a nuisance to fill and the water tank itself will leak despite the valve that's meant to prevent it.

Wouldn’t repurchase

Purchased this machine to replace my old style pod one that lasted years and was super easy to use (but now discontinued). This one takes up more space on the bench and the top is very hard to push down and lock into place, you need to use quite a bit of force, would not be good for people without a lot of upper arm strength. Also the lid for the water canister is not fixed so you have to be careful removing and reinstalling it as it falls easily and would be easily broken.

Onto my second Vertuo machine, first had the 2 red blinking lights and despite trying everything, it couldn't be revived. Was replaced under warranty. Here I am with the exact same problem with the warranty one, yet now its out of warranty. Will never purchase another.

mine lasted about 5 years and now its causing some issues. i got a discount buying a next one. I would buy it again. not sure some here had their machines die off as early as in months. but it served me well.. although they could have added more buttons, that'd ease up cleaning and troubleshooting.

Best cup of coffee ever!

I’ve had my Nespresso Vertuo Next for over 2 years. We’ve used it for three people maybe 4-6 cups of coffee a day. It’s easy to set up coming out of the box. Definitely register your new machine with Nespresso. It’s easy to do with Bluetooth. Once your machine is paired online Nespresso can help you solve any problems that may arise. I have had ZERO issues with my machine. There are videos to show you step by step instructions on how to clean your machine and how to descale your machine. I try to keep my machine cleaned weekly by wiping everything down including opening the top and carefully making sure everything is clear of coffee grounds and dried coffee. When we travel we always wish we had brought along our Nespresso because regular coffee just isn’t good anymore. Not even bought coffee from Starbucks or Dutch Bros. Can compare. I wish the coffee was less expensive, but you get what you pay for and we will continue to pay for Nespresso coffee!

Bought 3x of these machines for our office. Hav'nt had them long 2/3 of the machines the water pump stopped working. 1/3, the top locking mechanism would'nt lock Pity, it does make good coffee

Need 2 hands to open & close the unit, when emptying the waste pods, you need to be careful you don't spill waste coffee over the place

Easy to use and easy to clean !

I only have a couple of coffees a day... With the proper coffee machine that grind the coffee the beans would go stale before I got to use them so the taste was bitter. These bigger capsules and machines are great and taste like real coffee. Very easy to use !

Disappointed!!

I received my machine as a Christmas gift. It was to replace my previous one that died after 2 years. This one is now 18 months old, so no longer under warranty. I woke up today to a solid white light on the button and it no longer works. The button itself does not respond when I push it. When I researched online, this happens with these machines regularly. I have tried all the suggestions and nothing works. I am terribly disappointed, particularly because I have A LOT of pods left that are now useless because I opened the boxes to put the capsules in the drawer.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought my coffee machine last year with the arching. I liked the coffee but there was so little of it. I couldn’t find how to change the amount it certainly didn’t change with varying capsules.

awesome machine

Awesome machine, so easy to use without the complicated buttons. Coffee always tastes perfect better that some cafes. Only downside is the milk warmer is not very good, didn't last very long. Go and buy a after market one and you are good to go.
