Frequently asked questions

All the Nespresso machines are equipped with a 19-bar pressure pump, which provides the power needed to pierce the film of the capsule and release the coffee's 900 or so different aromas. The shape of the Nespresso capsule has been specially designed to ensure that the pressurized water flows evenly through the ground coffee during extraction. The temperature and flow time are also set to ensure that each precious aroma is expressed.

This machine allows the preparation of several beverages accessible through 3 buttons only: Espresso (40ml coffee), Lungo (110ml coffee) and milk button for coffee & milk drinks (one touch milk system). The machine is equipped with a single-serve system, where all the milk in the jug is used for the coffee & milk preparation, so no milk wastage. There are 3 marks on the milk jug which indicate the quantity of milk needed for either an Espresso Macchiato (20ml milk), Cappuccino (60ml milk) or Latte Macchiato (120ml milk). Simply add milk to one of the levels, and when you press the milk button, the machine use all the milk in the jug. All the coffee beverages are preprogramed with factory setting but can be reprogrammed to fit one’s taste.
